Our team visited Brazil side of Iguazu
falls before the Argentina side. Compare with Argentina side view, the Brazil
side was more compact. The most impressed part was we stood in the bridge in
front of the Devil’s Throat. It was a truly speechless natural view. The
Brazilian waterfall is one of the 7 natural wonders of the world and it’s
worthwhile to see. I would recommend everyone to go see it once in your
lifetime.
One insight that I found was visitors
could feed the coati, and coati were not afraid of humans at all. There has no
doubt that this showed the harmony between man and nature, but that also raised
a question – is human influence of nature in a positive way or in a negative
way? I think the answer could be either one. Because of the tourism and
deforestation, some species near Iguazu falls already identified on the “ICUN’s
Red List”, and there have possibility that these species will no longer exist. Also,
some companies provide helicopter to visitors in order to have a better view to
see Iguazu falls. That caused a lot of pollution directly in the Iguazu falls. On
the other hand, because of tourism affect the nature in a negative way somehow,
inside the theme park, the Brazilian side had begun only allowing their own
private buses drive through in order to reduce the number of vehicles went
through the theme park caused the emissions and overall exposure that affect fauna
and flora.
The legendary natural landscape is God’s
gift to mankind. We, as human, have responsibility to protect it, maintain it,
respect it. Nowadays, more and more visitors from all around the world wish to
visit the Iguazu fall. I think more actions need to be taken in order to keep
the nature of Iguazu falls more safe and protect the species in the Iguazu
falls area.
